Children must be 5 years old on or before October 15, 2025 in order to attend Kindergarten for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

Children must be 4 years old on or before October 15, 2025 in order to attend Pre-K for the 2025-2026 school year.

Volunteers Needed for the Smith School Mentoring Program
The Smith School has been fortunate to offer a school-based Mentor Program since 2008. This program is made possible by grant money received from the Maine Community Foundation.
Mentoring students meet with their mentor during the school day, usually for 45 minutes each week. Some of the activities that the students and mentors may do during this time are:craft projects, building models, playing games, reading and eating lunch together.
